I have taught voice for over 31 years and have worked with every level of student – from beginner to most advanced. The private lesson allows for the most personalized experience which allows you to reach your goals at your own pace.
Voice Lessons for Every Goal
For High School Students:
Perhaps you are preparing for solo competition and need to learn the perfect song or you have decided that you want to be a music major in college and you’ve got college auditions coming up. Perhaps you are featured in the musical and need to work on your role or you have never taken lessons before but really enjoy singing in the choir and you want to work on your skills. Voice lessons are what you need!
We will work on the fundamentals of singing – breath, focus, support, consistency in tone, diction. We will sing a variety of music and styles from classical to musical theatre.
For Opera Young Artists:
Voice Lessons: refine your technique and choose repertoire that shows off your voice at this stage in your career
Audition Preparation: hone in on your five aria package technically, musically and dramatically
Role Preparation: if you have been hired to sing a role or you want to study a role, we will work on every aspect of it – music, language, technique, drama, research
For Musical Theatre Performers:
Voice Lessons: refine your technique, find a healthy way to belt, developing the mix
Audition Preparation: fill your portfolio with 16 to 32 bar cuttings and songs that fill every need for various auditions
Perhaps you aren’t on the professional track but you have always wanted to sing or you sang in college and want to get back into it. Learn the fundamentals of technique, sing a variety of repertoire, and learn how to truly communicate a song.
Where do the lessons take place?
I will be doing a majority of my teaching at my home in Yonkers. Coming from New York, it is only a 25 minute Metro North train ride from Grand Central. If you take public transportation, I will pick you up from the station. The advantages of coming to my studio in Yonkers include the fact that I have all of my music in my library at my and your disposal and there are no time contraints so should we need more time, I will give it to you at no extra charge.
If you can’t get up to Yonkers, I can teach you in Manhattan, but you will be responsible to rent a studio and since we will be renting a space, we are confined to the time limits of the rental. But if that is more convenient, I am more than happy to meet you in the city.
OR if you live far away from the New York City area, I teach lessons via Skype! You just need to have a fast computer and a fast and reliable internet connection. You can have lessons with me from all over the world!

Makeup lessons/Cancellation Policy
Should you need to cancel a lesson for any reason, I need 24 hours notice. You can text me (914-523-2718) or email me. If I don’t get the proper notice, no matter what the reason for the cancellation, no makeup lesson will be offered and there are no refunds. If I do get the proper notice, we will schedule a makeup lesson at our mutual convenience. I do not follow the school calendar so if school is out of session, don’t assume that you won’t have a lesson that day. If you need to reschedule for a school holiday, let me know 24 hours in advance. Regardless of how many cancellations with the proper notice, only TWO makeups will be given per semester.
